After/BAAL begins on the cusp of the Pandemic, when BAAL, a now 50+ queer singer-songwriter, returns to public life when one of her old songs goes viral, after an almost twenty year hiatus. But BAAL is haunted by the ghosts of her past, and is she ready for what awaits her in this new world? And is the world really ready for her?
This new play with songs, emerges from a former production called BAAL (freely inspired by the infamous Brecht play), that the creators collaborated on and presented at Buddies in Bad Times Theatre in 1998.
